yes. if you do it online it will ask which library you want to pick it up at. As to how long it will take, it's totally up in the air. I've had it take a week, and I've had it take six weeks.

Either way, you’ll get an email/text when it arrives.

  1. Yes, if you do it through your local branch
  2. It depends on a lot of factors (how many copies they have, how many people are before you on the hold list, how long it takes people to return the book, etc)

If someone places a hold they have 7 days to pick it up before they pass on to the next person in line. Also, they will not renew for items that have any hold requests, to minimize the time you need to wait.

Also, if you have a Kindle you can download the Libby app and borrow Kindle versions from the library.

You don't need a kindle or even an app anymore, you can just go to https://libbyapp.com/ and enter your library card info, and get out ebooks and audiobooks in your browser (though if you have a tablet/kindle it's convenient).

The default is copley. Make sure to select where you want it sent. You can also return it to any branch

OP did not specify which network. It could be the Minuteman Network, with more branches and a far better DVD collection than the BPL Network.

BTW, a library card is good for both networks.
