Interesting take you have there. It’s about to be riding season so don’t put any bad omens out there alright? Don’t be a paranoid Karen.

I've been around long enough just as a commuter to see two serious wrecks with my own eyes, had one friend killed when he hit an animal crossing the road, and have another close acquaintance whose legs were seriously maimed (and yet he is still an avid bike enthusiast). It's not paranoia; it's pattern recognition!

Understandable and I’m sorry for your friends worst case scenario outcomes. Neither deserved that but the rest of us are gonna assume the risk and ride on. Please watch for us and bicyclists on the road this spring/summer

I hear you. My cousin died getting hit by a truck on his dirt bike. That was in 2000. In 2022 my uncle, father of my aforementioned cousin, was killed on his motorcycle by a woman cutting him off in her car.

If I ever have kids they’re never going near a two wheeled vehicle with an engine.

I have a buddy who was a huge motorcycle guy. It was his favorite activity and he counted down the days until spring so he could ride again. He put his bike up for sale the day he learned his wife was pregnant. I have always respected him for that.

Riding a motorcycle is an objectively dangerous activity. It's not paranoia, it is a fact.
