Looking for groups, clubs, or events where I can meet goths. I'm always the odd one out at school, at work, and within my Fraternity, so I'm looking to meet nerdy goths in the Baltimore area 😁

Man, it used to be the Depot and Orpheus but I'm too old and square to know where the goths are these days.

They were probably just jealous of all the kinky shit that they were missing out on!

RIP Orpheus but damn their management and the promoters there sucked (which is a big part of what led to its downfall).

The Depot is still legit.

I decided to stop lurking and make an account for this one. Hi! Absolutely Heresy at the Ottobar is worth your time. Batz Over Baltimore is this Saturday at the Depot and definitely a good call as well. As for the Metro Gallery they tend to have a lot of bands come through that you'd probably enjoy. Also, their/my monthly, MetroSchock (as you might have guessed from my name) is pretty well attended. January might be a little odd though because a lot of people that usually attend are going to Magfest but you should check it you regardless (1st Saturday of each month). Hope this helps! (P.S. there are absolutely more things to check out if you're willing to drive a bit but I didn't want to go overboard)

Ottobar, Metro Gallery, occasionally The Crown. There are still some DIY places that will book goth/post punk/darkwave bands and have occasional dance parties.
A lot of people won't go to depot due to their willingness to book NSBM bands in the past

NSBM bands?

A few years ago a hate group called the Wolves of Vineland tried to start a branch here in Baltimore. While it ultimately was a failure, The Depot was their de facto hangout spot. Allowing them to patronize their and being influenced by what bands they wanted to see left a mark on the bars reputation.

Black metal bands haven't played there in years.
