Antique Depot in Elliott City has/had a lot of vintage Legos (boxed and loose). It's been a while (about 1.5 years) since I was there last.

I frequently see them at children’s consignment shops.

There are a couple of places in old Ellicott City that sell used LEGO. There used to be a vendor at the fleamarket in Dundalk too. The flea market was less expensive, but the parts were all common. I've had better luck being patient and buying lots off of eBay, but if there's something specific I am looking for then Bricklink.

Most people are aware that LEGO hold their value, it's difficult to find them cheap especially if they are complete sets. The only true scores I've gotten is when coworkers who know I am into LEGO have just gifted me their kid's old sets.

You a collector? I have my childhood collection to sell and I've had trouble finding local collectors.

Curious. I have a ton of legos (mostly loose but some sets too). Where have you tried to unload them? I’d prefer to get rid of them all at once but eBay and shipping so many legos seems futile

Sell the sets as sets if you can, unload the rest on eBay by weight in multiple lots or one big one if it's not too massive. Or go to one of the vendors in Ellicott city and see what they'll give you.

You'd be surprised how many adult fans of LEGO there are out there. I already have more than enough myself, but what kind of sets did you collect?
