As a long time home owner I would never throw something like bricks or blocks away (ok, if I had a huge pile). Instead, I'd put them outside, in a corner, behind the garage or whatnot. You will find uses one day.

Go somewhere they're tearing down an old building and toss them. Put them in your trunk of your car, they work good under a tire that's spinning in deep snow.
