I'll throw out Technocopia. We're a makerspace, so a member-supported community workshop. Good community of creative folks, woodworkers, hobbyists, a few fine artists, etc. If you're interested, come by on a Thursday night during Open Hack when anyone's welcome to come check out the space, work on a project, and hang out.

I'm going to show my age, but The Boynton before it was renovated. It was more cozy, and popping in on a weeknight let you rub elbows with families, college kids, people from the neighborhood, etc.

That's not what it means. It's a sociological term that means a place where people gather regularly outside of the home and where ever they work or have other obligations (work/school).

Interesting. I believe the sociological term for my comment is “a joke”.

Jokes are usually funny or at least clever.

I thought it was funny. ¯\(ツ)

It’s okay if we have different senses of humor. Not sure why everyone got so upset about a dumb joke online. It’s not like I was being a dick to someone.

They probably just saw it as an irrelevant comment, not a joke they didn’t find funny. I didn’t recognize it as humorous so I can see the confusion.
