Many glaciers have some portion that stays even through the driest and hottest period of summer. Mount Everest is never missing snow at the top, and Mount Rainier always has snow too but that might be changing. This is a real concern because most water in Washington during the summer comes from the glaciers melting. If they start to run out, the lack of rain will also be a lack of rivers.

Well of course. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. From reading the headline you'd have no idea the the entire glacier is gone. Of course it's a major concern. My comment was aimed at the journalism, not questioning climate change.
