Motorcycles are $7.45, each way. Passengers are $9.45, westbound. So bikes are not cheaper than passengers, for commuters.

On Vashon everyone pays only when going to the island, no one pays leaving the island. Passengers are a bit less than motorcycles.

Motorcycles are no charge departing from Vashon.
Bainbridge you have to pay both ways for motorcycles though.

Do I infer correctly pedestrians are free eastbound? Note I see a lot of motorcycle traffic on I90, I5 and around the east side (Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Bothell etc) so this does not surprise me.

I'm guessing motorcycle is a loose term. Lots of electric bikes and scooters, a few on road dirtbikes

Ebikes fit that definition

You do realize that both electric motors and ICE, are both motors, right? And that both also meet the definition of engine.

Motorcycles just make more sense if you're traveling alone. They get at least twice the gas mileage of the average commuter car.

I have an electric motorcycle and I love it

I like the idea of them, but right jow they're too expensive and I live in an apartment, so I've got nowhere to charge unless I go to one of the limited amounts of charge stations by me. For the price of one electric motorcycle. I could get two entry level motorcycles.

A lot of old crusty bikers are out on Vashon

This makes a lot of sense - motorcycles skip ferry lines in WA, and are cheaper than a walk-on fare.
