Look up all my previous posts. I have a ducted heat pump in 1400 square ft house with 1k basement and my electric bill for the heat pump last month would have been 145 but I have extra solar credits so it was still $0. I keep the house at constant 71. You just have to make sure you buy a cold climate heat pump

Make sure you have some adequate insulation and air sealing. It is easier to heat and cool a insulated home than it is a drafty cold home

Thanks. My home is well insulated and pretty well sealed. I’m seeing all kind of news about incentives and I want to get in while they’re still available.

Yeah just make sure you get multiple bids because some rebates are increasing , so will prices. Get at least 3 bids.
