I am currently wearing a belt buckle with the flag design on it, so. . . It kicks ass.
Edit: I also fly the Pennsylvania flag just a few inches higher than the USA flag at my house.

why do you fly it higher than the USA flag?
Ham_Ahoy t1_izlnnk8 wrote
Because I'm a Pennsylvanian first and am American second. Also, because it is technically illegal, but so is putting the us flag on merchandise, or clothing. .. changing the colors of the flag (blue lives matter flags are illegal flags.) A whole host of things. "Flag code." There are many laws governing the proper use of flags and they are so often violated I violate one myself for fun.

interesting. what do you value about PA so much? or in what ways do you feel PA is better than the US as a whole?

Honestly PA has lots of problems. I do want our coastline back. Delaware doesn't exist. The Johnstown flood tax needs to go. I do think PA is better culturally than most states (I feel this way about the northeast in general, and the original 13 more broadly). PA was founded directly because of one man railing about the right of jury veto, and pissed off the king so much he sent that man to the colonies with a sizeable chunk of land just to get rid of him. I love that.
It's not that I think PA is necessarily better than the US as a whole, though. . . Just that the US as a whole is ridiculous and I don't feel allegiance to it in the same way I do my home state.

Eh, not technically illegal because it's the Flag Code not the Flag Law but I know exactly what you mean, burns my butt to see people that claim to be patriots and the like going around mistreating flags with the flimsy excuse that it's "not the actual flag" just something very closely resembling the flag 🙄 or attaching one to a vehicle only to let it get shredded

I like your style

I'm not a fan of it on a flag, but mostly because the coat of arms gets lost in the wind, or when the flag is limp. I agree that the coat of arms is badass, and it deserves more than to just get slapped on to a bedsheet. It deserves to be really seen on mediums that make it shine! That's part of why I designed a PA flag that references the coat of arms without making it into a mess - ideally, I want people to ask about the flag and wind up interested in the COA's history.
