Just two years after girls were allowed to join... My wife back in 1976 when she was about 12 years old. Her and another girl signed up as the only two girls in the Washington D.C. Little League. She played association softball for a few years when she was younger in the 90s, but the way it's structured with A and B teams, if you're not really good, you won't have a good time.
