Hero, or Public Saftey Issue?

In light of recent sightings and postings from the masked Vigilante known as Midnight, or-self proclaimed "Newark Knight", I and a few colleagues were interested to see Newark and Essex County Residents' opinions on the Vigilante, and have decided to do a study on said opinions from residents.

Alll Responses will be kept anonymous, and anything you wish to be public can be posted in this thread.

One of our colleagues who specializes in photo-editing, made that edit of your photo, Midnight.

However, putting on a mask, dressing up in a homemade super-suit and patrolling Newark's streets DOES create a Public Saftey issue and Community-Distrust, hence the tagline.

What group is referred to by “we” and “colleagues?”

The group in question we're referring to is a small group of friends, studying certain opinions and topics here in Newark.

However, seeing as Midnight had caught one of our friend's eyes via an Instagram post, we did some digging out of curiosity to see he posts here too, and decided; What do Newarks residents think of this guy? Hence this form was created.

Fuck off and leave the kid alone... He's trying to do good in the community. Sure, it may be a very uncommon & unconventional way of going about it, but his intentions are obviously coming from the right place.

Who are you to question? What are you doing in the community to make a difference?

Public safety issue my ass. If you gave a shit about public safety, there are hundreds of other issues in the city you could've chosen to focus on.The only person "at risk" as a result of his actions (patrolling a specific section of NWK & giving out hand warmers to those less fortunate), is him, which should be described as bravery, or maybe stupidity, but certainly not a public safety issue.

Chelsea, thank you for the concern. However as a group, we don't intend to antognize Midnight, as previously said in this thread to Robert Treat, we soley intend to ask and garner responses on what Residents think of him.

Furthermore, regarding his methods of doing good, we share no animosity towards said methods, and however he decides to carry himself, is for him only to decide.

But considering aggressors or Instigators may see this as an opportunity to make a name for themselves, who's to say people cant get caught in that crossfire?

We come from an angle of curiosity and concern, not resentment and mockery.

You are correct; Yes, we are a group of college kids trying to write a paper regarding the subject. However, using google forms is an easy way to convert it into a spreadsheet, which we can then analyze and review, we are sorry if you find our way of data collection "Shady". -Cole.

People obsess over his attire but humans do that shit literally everywhere. We all like playing dress up because that's what helps make life real to us.

I wear sweaters and cardigans and shit because I like to dress up in ivy league style.

I recently attended a community chat event with law enforcement and lo and behold, everyone there was dressed in formal gear. Cops have different attire for different occasions as do other humans and other professions // ways of being. Literally everyone.

Take this bullshit elsewhere, or reevaluate yourself and actually try to do an impartial, unbiased study dickheads.
