Brunswick has a bunch of great restaurants downtown and you will basically have to drive right through it to get to harpswell. we loved the Indian place (forgot the name, sorry!) If you decide to eat in harpswell, for sure call any restaurant first. The town basically shuts down in the winter for restaurants, or at least it used to when we lived in the area 10 plus years ago.

Maybe that is where we used to go? I just remember the Indian being super good, like even better than indian I've had in major cities.

Good to know, thank you. Any particular places in Brunswick you like?

"Wild Oats" is really good, it's like an upscale deli, has really good baked goods too. "The great impasta" was another fave, yummy Italian, garlic knots to die for. Those are ones I remember that are still around.

Wild Oats—has it moved to the base?

I think there are two locations, the usual place downtown and at the base?????? That was the case 10 years ago, they may have consolidated to just one, but they had 2 at one point for sure.

One location, on the base 👍 They have the absolute best whoopie pies.

Need the best coffee, great grub, and a weird ass vibe? Dog Bar Jim is your friend. During the summer also doubles as an ice cream joint called Dirty Larry's Conetown
