Grew up there. Never thought I would see this question here.

  1. Get intoxicated
  2. Go to church
  3. There is no 3.

They didn’t allow alcohol until recently. It’s heavily religious/Pentecostal and is part of what I refer to as the Bible Belt. There is no real town or anything to do. Head for Bangor which is about 25-30 minutes away.

My gf has family that way and whenever we go out she always points out the last place to buy beer if I want it and now it’s weird when she doesn’t

If you drive far enough there’s a random dollar general out in the middle of nowhere toward Milo/Lagrange. Not sure how to get there again. It spawned on a late-night drive while I was lost in the area.

It may be that weddings are the only things renting out the facility, but it is available for other things.

There's a covered bridge next door in Kenduskeag. Geocaching should have a couple spots. If you can get away to Bangor, they have the City Forest, waterfront, if there's no snow, there are a few great disc golf courses near by in Orrington, Orono, and some farther out you can find with the UDisc app
