Except it isn't, Waldo county and knox county aren't included, yet they included Oxford is which goes more south than waldo, same with Hancock.

I was mostly just being flip, but now I'm interested in this mystery. Maybe they're excluding any counties that have decent sized towns on south and midcoast (i.e. the most common landing spots for Maine immigrants)?

Yeah but they have penobscot county which has Bangor, which is like the 3rd largest city in our state.

Bangor’s not on the coast, so my hypothesis still applies. Also, as a resident of Bangtown, I can confidently say that we’re not a prime destination for former Manhattanites.
