Curious how this stage got resurrected as the last time I played on it it was some time ago. Then got word the Condo association connected to the building complained about noise. After that shows were kept to a minimum and only afternoon. Glad to see it’s back up though, it’s a great space!
That sounds more like the Hi-Hat stage on the 4th floor near the elevators. This is in a newer location up on the fifth floor (over Coffee & Cotton) that is more isolated from the condo section of the building.
Thanks for the clarification! I haven’t been in Lowell for a bit now so I’m happy to see the Mill expanding.
Warp'n'Weft has live music super frequently - the food is really solid, and the beer menu is as well.
Have also recently seen Old Court, Fuse, and Cobblestones get into the game with more live music offerings as well.
Then there's Taffeta and the spot at Mill No 5 - neither are bars, but both have live music and might scratch the itch.
I'm still hoping Thirsty First can resurface somewhere.

Lowell is having a music festival/bar hopping event in April 28 and 29 Friday Saturday.
One ticket gets you access to a bunch of bars with lives band friday evening into all Saturday.
Worthen Attic is a great punk room. I think Crowfeeder is on tomorrow night.
Posts like this make me really miss The Back Page. That place was great. Hoping to come back to this and see some great recommendations!
There’s the Zorba Room near Panela’s. Mostly cover bands from what I recall.
I know it is down the road a bit, but keep an eye on The Sanctuary in Maynard. Great stage and music policy.
*Edited and removed *nvm. It's not a bar or a club. Just my favorite place. Sorry!
No worries
Taffeta at Western Ave, there’s a brewery at the studios, too.
The Warp & Weft frequently has great acts on stage. And their food is top notch.
I've never actually been in the Worthen, but they host a side-festival during Folk Fest, and had some awesome indie acts last year.
Also heard good things about Mill No 5

Just going to take this opportunity to shill for my workplace which has been slowly rolling out new shows at their new space The Overlook up on the 5th floor at Mill No. 5. We've got some psychedelic folk going down this Saturday night. Tickets are $15.
