Why? They’re part of our society and just as valuable and worthy of understanding as anyone else. I’d say as valuable as you, but I know between a transgender person and you who I’d much rather have in my society.

I think the majority of parents would vote no to teach this. So you are the minority

Fun move to go from an assumption to a statement of fact. Just to clue you in, that’s not how facts actually work. Nor would it matter if you found a majority of bigots to oppose this. It doesn’t make the bigotry right.

So the LGBTQA community are on the same level as rapist, murders, and serial killers to you? It’s a very odd parallel you are trying to draw here.

It’s always remarkable just how sick their view is of people who don’t fit their neat little boxes.

Yeah like OP says he rather see parents teach their kids about stuff like this. Yeah nah homie, if parents like you are out there who think it would be even remotely appropriate to compare a already demonized, and let’s face it persecuted minority, to rapist, murders and serial killers.. should be a massive red flag to the rest of us ALL, why this needs to be done by a person who specializes in teaching children in a rational manner, and not be left in the hands of chuckle dicks like this. This is the civil rights fight of our time, and just like we would teach our kids about the civil rights movement of the 1960s, and figures like MLK, or even just have a down to earth talk with kids about race, or ethnicity in school this topic is no different. Kids are going to grow up into a diverse world where they should learn some empathy for the betterment of society and humanity in general.

Yeah … they would be better to remain silent rather than continue to crystallize in public their very shitty bigoted and racist none sense.

What is your reasoning for this being wrong? For transgendered people being wrong? It’s clear you have an issue with a segment of society and you’d rather ignore that segment than simply saying they exist, they, like other groups are mostly good people who just want to live a happy and productive life. But because they are different from you, you’re scared I guess. That’s fine- people get scared all the time. Understand your fears and look at them. I’d hope you’d realize there is nothing to be afraid of, and it’s not worth your energy to be fearful.
Older people - including myself need to realize our viewpoints are outdated. If younger people are good with something then that’s how it’s going to go. It’s their world more than ours. Stop fighting it. Try to live a happy life and help others be happier along the way.
