Wang's Chinese Cuisine (formerly Wang's Fast Food, I think) in Somerville used to sell bags of them, although Google says they're temporarily closed. I'm told that Dumpling House between Harvard and Central Squares sells them, but for the same price as freshly cooked.

Are there other options around Cambridge?

I moved away from the area, but I was really happy with their food when I lived nearby. For covid, they had a $30 frozen dumpling variety pack that was a really good deal and good dumplings.

$35 for 50 frozen dumplings now, no variety packs - single flavor only. Perfectly fine and really what I had expected.

Thanks, I picked up a couple of bags for myself. If you can speak Chinese, the owner is quite an interesting conversationalist.

It's too bad the restaurant isn't closer to Porter or Harvard Square, I'm sure it would do quite a lot more business.

I would just go to H Mart - they have bags of dumps for cheap that are amazing

Thanks, my visiting friend didn't want the prepackaged ones.

Have they actually tried them? I would argue spaghetti factory frozen dumplings are better than the frozen dumplings at maybe local restaurants.

Oh, yeah, those are pretty good from my recollection. I'll mention them. I doubt they have tried them, since they're only visiting.

Wow, I called them and they said it might be a month before they sell them again. Maybe they sold them like crazy for Chinese New Year, need to build up their stock again, within their scheme of priorities.

Whoa! I didn’t know they were that popular. If you don’t want to wait that long, making your own could be fun for an afternoon, and even more fun if you invite a few friends. Super easy. You can buy the wrappers from H-Mart and then make your own filling; the Woks of Life recipe is great. There are also vegetarian recipes if you prefer that.

Yeah, I've done that with friends before, decades ago, but no time for that now. These are actually for my friend's son so he can have them as supplies.

Tip: when buying the wrappers, pay attention to how soft they are. Sometimes there's clearly older ones mixed in with the newer ones on the store shelf, and you want the fresher, softer ones. Older ones are already hardening on the edges.

Myers & Chang sells frozen dumplings. Gotta cross the river though. Do people still do that?

There’s also Mimi’s chuka diner, who have a residency at artifact cider in central square. You can order from their website too!
