Does anyone have experience here? I am considering joining but don’t want to necessarily commit to a full month- and it seems like doing a one-off class prevents the monthly new member special. Looking for feedback from the community on their experiences, since it’s hard to know what reviews to trust from Google. Thanks!

It's really wonderful. I used to be a regular when it was Baptiste Power Yoga and the owners of DUY Gregor and Clair were my absolute favorite teachers there. I think the new teachers are really good too (I just went back for the first time since COVID). I don't think you could go wrong, honestly.

Haven’t been in a few years but I always liked it. Definitely an emphasis on hot yoga and classes were challenging. Always felt clean and comfortable there. Fwiw - I’m a dude.

I love Down Under. I’m not a fully time member, but I use classpass and probably go to Down Under 5-6 times per month.

Their instructors are super knowledgeable and run challenging classes where form is really emphasized. They have a nice mix of standard yoga, hot yoga, barre and mat pilates, etc. Highly recommend and my favorite of all the studios i’ve tried in the area

edit: typos!

I really like it! I prefer it to both Core Power and BREATHE

Thanks! I’ve tried BREATHE and thought it was good, so this is helpful!

I just finished my first month and immediately got the year pass. Porter is the location I go the most and been to Harvard only a couple of times. Great staff and teachers are great too. App is easy to use and classes are easy to book and cancel. I’m not a fan of LifeAlive so the discount is wasted but so far I’ve enjoyed everything else about Down Under.

I used to go regularly to their outpost in Brookline. Fantastic teachers, lovely sunny studio (I only attended classes in the upstairs studio). Fell off the wagon due to COVID, but hope to get back there.

FWIW, I study Iyengar.

I really (!!!) enjoy being a member there. I have the yogi pass (student discount), and go often. I did the new member special the first month for 50$ and it was very worth it with how many times I went. They have a good amount of class formats to do/try and I really like a lot of the teachers. Nice and clean studios. Nice community. Plus 20% off life alive is a pretty decent perk for me since I love their food :)

I got my yoga teacher training there! I always recommend Down Under - there are a wide variety of different types of classes, and the instructors are all wonderful. (Gregor is my favorite though!)

Down under is the way to go for yoga monthly memberships if you want to experience group class setting over private lessons!
