Wall clock with numbers and not arms

I'm looking for a good wall clock. Specifically, I want one with numbers and not arms because I cook a lot and need to get the minute exact. I don't want to get tangled up in figuring out if it's 2 or 3 minutes past the :05 mark, especially because the nearest mountable wall from my stove is pretty far away.

If I Google for good clocks or look on Reddit, they're basically all of the arm variety. The only numerical ones are the generic ones I see on Amazon and I'm not sure if I can really trust those.

I don't really need any fancy bells and whistles either, like the temperature.

Had good luck with La Crosse atomic clocks, got one that’s ancient and a newer one, both are built pretty well. They have digital ones too.

We have several La Cross wall clocks. They are not BiFL.

They lose touch with remote sensors, and two wander aimlessly when it comes to self-setting the time. Correct it, later that day it chooses a time of its liking.

We also have the older Radio Shack version of the LaCross. It keeps on ticking.

I think you'd be good with a clock from pretty much any real company (eg not a generic Amazon seller). Sharp, RCA, and Westclox all have some offerings on Amazon that would work well. Despite how it may seem, even cheap modern electronics can last a really long time when they're as straightforward and bare bones as a clock. There's just not much to go wrong with them and we've been making them with few changes for decades.

Same, but given the subreddit the downvotes are understandable. And I personally couldn't imagine a better device for timers, and so far, they haven't had a single issue. Might not be BIFL, but certainly worth the $20.

In terms of fuck Amazon: afaik they're losing money on selling the dots, and I don't know if you actually need to be connected to the internet for the timer to work.

Although not buy-it-for-life, I'll agree 100%. I cook alot, like solid home cook plus. My Echo show in the kitchen is killer as a kitchen timer.

May I suggest some old, Soviet Elektronika wall-clocks if you can find 'em? Most of those have worked non-stop since the eighties.

You can trust pretty much any quartz watch l, and better even if it's digital rather than with hands...
