compared to a lot of other areas in southern VT, Manchester has quite a bit going on

Depends on your interests. Vermont - anywhere - appeals more to the outdoorsy types of any age (photography, hiking, snow boarding, climbing, skiing, etc.). If that’s not your thing, then ya.

I've been living in Manchester for about 7 years. Sure the first 2.5 years were nice. I took photos of Equinox Mountain, hiked up Equinox, and took my dogs on a walk on the Equinox Pond loop. But for skiing, I go to Stratton.

It’s not for everyone, our older kids have already moved away to places more populated which is great. It’s not built as a place for everyone. We have a huge diverse country, go explore!

I live halfway between Manchester and Bennington. I try to avoid going to Manchester if I can help it.

I'm under 40. I've lived in a ton of other places both rural and urban all over the country. I've had my share of a wide variety of things people consider fun. Raves, concerts, festivals, bars within walking distance on the beach, you name it.

It really all depends who you are and what you find entertaining.
