Honestly, not only was it a great episode, it made previous episodes this season better. What felt disjointed before came together all at once.

I do have to agree that I wish the show didn't make the Republic look so naive and incompetent, but I guess that tracks considering they eventually get crushed by the Empire AGAIN.

They generally use Droids for that, as shown with Artoo's first appearance in The Phantom Menace.

I mean there's the time that a clone trooper was blown out into space when his gun turret blew up. Also at least one TIE Fighter pilot did the same thing.

Problem is they didn't get to come back inside.
