Not impressed with Beef-A-Roo. We tried a couple of different sandwiches, hamburger & mahi. The burger was what is expected from a fast food joint, and the mahi, although good size, did not have a flavor. Myself, I think Steak n Shake has better burgers, and is a better value.

Fish still remains elusive here.

“Hey you know what’s a great idea? Name a restaurant BEEF-A-ROO!” - some idiot in Illinois.

Between Huey Magoo's and Beef-a-Roo is starting to sound like toddler lunch time around here. Nonetheless, I look forward to at least trying both.

My favorite fish dishes in town are Blackfish at Cafe Cusco and fish n chips at Brewco.

I think I’ll reserve judgment until they’ve been open for a month or so and have everything figured out

We wasn't that impressed either. I will say we loved the cheese curds!

Cheese curds are probably pretty hard to mess up. Think they’re better than Culvers’?

That's one way to create a "Beef-A-Roo" a few hours later.

I had a chicken sandwich and small fries. The small was really small, it was maybe 8 French fries and they seemed pretty old and stale. The chicken sandwich was more like what I'd expect from a vending machine than a restaurant. In fact if you told me they'd just gone down to Walmart and bought out their pre-made chicken Sammies I'd be unable to shoot that theory down. I don't see them lasting long.

My first thought was wow that name is stupid

But my uncle wants to go so I think we’re going to try it. I think their original menu item was roast beef sandwiches so I’ll probably get one of those

Seemed a bit overpriced for what you get. Burger quality is on par with Culver's.

"Beef-A-Roo" just means a lot of farts, right? Kind of like "Beefapalooza."

I had beef a roo last night and the burger was burnt. I'll try again when they've ironed out training etc. Fries were meh.
