The fields at gillies creek park (not the course) or the open area right next to church hill dog park might fit the bill.

Just go practice at Gillies. If you're getting into disc golf and thinking your not gonna lose discs, you're gonna have a bad time.

I lost a disc in the leaves at Bryan Park. Not in the woods but in a huge opening... Felt pretty stupid that day.

I've lost my fair share of discs already, but thank you haha

You could use the multiple soccer fields In Bryan Park. There’s a disc golf course there as well.

From the Fan you can use the area near the Carillon.

If it's after school hours and there are no events, the many school fields and grounds in the area work fine.

Not in the fan but there's a football/ soccer field and a baseball field behind j sarge on parham that is typically available during the week

Lots of good options have been said. Closest to the fan I would try going to Maymont Preschool/Amelia Street school. They’re both probably empty after 3:30 most school days. Two schools so two fields, and maymont has a couple baseball diamonds

Oooh, this is a solid answer and very close to me. I bike past that field and didn't even think about it. Thank you!
