While chatting with Xfinity in an attempt to lower my internet bill, I was offered a seemingly good deal on my internet if I switched my mobile service to Xfinity Mobile. The pricing seemed really good but I've had Verizon for as long as I can remember. The main hangup I have with switching away from Verizon is deprioritization. Xfinity says they use Verizon's towers but when traffic increases, Verizon customers get priority. For some context, where I live, Xfinity is the only choice for internet, unfortunately.

If you use Xfinity Mobile, could you please describe your experience and whether or not you recommend them?

I have had xfinity mobile for a couple of years and have never had any problems with deprioritization.

The only issue is you can’t really go into a store to get customer service and getting support via phone can be difficult.

I know a few folks that use the Xfinity service and they haven't had a problem with it throttling down, and personally I have Mint which uses T-Mobile's network and haven't seen any issues with that either, nor my other friends on other MVNO carriers. I pay 15 bucks a month with 4GB of data, but we'll see how things go now that T-Mobile bought Mint from Ryan Renyolds...

The throttling after 20gb made it unusable. I would exceed that every single month

had it for a few years now too, never had any issues.

additionally: I upgraded from the 'free Samsung' to an iphone when the Samsung got water damaged... was easy, and unlike my experience with Comcast internet, xfinity mobile doesn't keep randomly increasing my bill...

I'm an xfinity mobile customer, three lines sharing 10gb. Can't beat the price. This past weekend was the first time I experienced any issues with deprioritization, and I was at the Tidal Basin for the Cherry Blossom Festival among a crowd of hundreds of thousands of people.

I'd like to see them support Android devices other than Pixels and Samsung - I had to keep a separate account on Ting for my kid's handed down Moto G6. That Moto is now dead so I don't have that problem anymore, but I would like to try a Surface Duo just for the novelty, and xfinity mobile is a barrier.

Their tech support was incompetent and the throttling of data after 20gb was insufferable. We dumped them after a year

The service is fine but if you ever need help with any issue ever you’ll be put through hell on earth speaking to their support

I switched five phones from Verizon four months ago. Saving a ton of money every month. I can't really tell any difference. Had some trouble switching one of the phones and as others have said customer service is not great but now they are all working it's fine. None of my five phones has ever even come close to using 20 gig in a month and getting throttled down so can't comment on that but I'm usually on wifi at home or work.
