When you see Fetterman in a suit, you can tell right away how much he hates it

I bet you he's wearing basketball shorts underneath those suit pants and has a hoodie in his car.

I’m really bummed the new Mario movie isn’t a direct continuation of the original’s cinematic universe. Didn’t it literally end with Princess Daisy saying “You’re not gonna gonna believe this!” and cut to black? We’ll never find out what we weren’t going to believe now!

FartBarfknuckle t1_itdgofs wrote

I feel like I’m in an unjustified small minority in thinking that the first Mario Bros movie is the perfect blend of really good and absolutely fucking stupid, and the end result is pure campy goodness.

It is DEFINITELY in the pantheon of coked-out terrible ideas and execution that turned into a thoroughly entertaining train wreck.

PLUMBER ALERT!

If it were just a stand alone sci-fi fantasy movie, it would have been fine. Super Mario Bros was literally the first movie made of a video game's IP, and it was so butchered - it reminds me of the Superman sequel WB asked Kevin Smith to write.

Followed up with Double Dragon, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat. In fact if you look at the list they're almost universally horrible.

It's like they were intentionally made to be bad to be content for MST3K. And I just found there's a RiffTrax of it so I know what I'm doing tonight.

What I do believe is that movie is terrible and yet I have seen it multiple times.

Hot take.

Dark Brandon is as lame as God emperor trump. They're both old, out of touch shitty weathervane politicians.

4

Adam_Rahuba t1_ite9wdx wrote

Cold take.

.

No one worships dark Brandon. It’s just a funny thing to say when he ‘zings some republicans. And anyone on the left side of the aisle will agree Biden is an old shitty out of touch politician. However, people literally worship god emperor trump and will try to physically fight someone who talks shit on him. Meanwhile people who voted for Biden willingly talk shit on Biden and openly agree with shit said about him. The difference is that god emperor trump runs a cult and they worship him. Biden is a doddering old man and no one worships him and those they voted for him know this, and many only voted for him because they had to. Vote blue no matter who.

9

LookAnOwl t1_itenksm wrote

Lukewarm take, I think Biden has actually done a great job with the Senate he has. Lots of great bills have passed, including a huge climate bill, and his Russia/Ukraine diplomacy was excellent as the war began.

That being said, yeah, he’s a politician - my life does not revolve around him, and I will criticize him when I think he fucks up. The Dark Brandon memes are funny, but I’d love a younger and more in-touch president. I simply can’t imagine having Biden signs or flags in my yard when he’s not campaigning.

The dude can't even find clothes that fit in the Big & Tall section. Cut him some slack...or slacks.

11

pAul2437 t1_itd0rni wrote

He could definitely find clothes that fit him. It’s intentional.

5

Ok_Plane6153 t1_ithjqg7 wrote

He could but why? So you feel he looks more like a politician? What does that even mean, respecting the position? To me to respect the position means you do the job, nothing to do with what you where. It's absolutely ridiculous that his attire is such a debated topic. Does wearing a fitted suit make your legislation any better? Does it make it easier to get out in the community?

Saying its intentional is just cynical. If it equalled votes then others would be doing it, too. But others arent Johns size. He also lost the primary nomination in 2016 so if it was intentional and didn't work then, one would think he wouldnt keep doing it and instead he's starting to wear suits at times. He most likely will on the senate floor mostly just to keep all yinz not talking about it.

You said he couldn’t find clothes that fit. He certainly could. It’s really that simple.

Ok_Plane6153 t1_ithxwtd wrote

I said he couldn't find clothes that fit in the Big & Tall section even. As in he can't find clothes that fit easily. Of course he can spend the money for a custom tailor. Why should he have to? You just want to hate on someone for any reason you can find. It's really that simple.

1

pAul2437 t1_itidk1g wrote

That cost is sized Too big. He could certainly find a better fitting one off the rack. It’s that simple

−1

SamPost t1_itd357d wrote

He can easily afford custom tailored suits. It is a well calculated presentation to make you think he is working class.

2

Ok_Plane6153 t1_ithiyu7 wrote

Not of a lot of people like wearing suits and I'm sure its especially uncomfortable for someone his size. I'm not in the business of telling someone how to dress or what to spend money on just because society thinks politicians should look neat and tidy as if all they can do is sit at a desk in an office and solve everything with paperwork. John gets involved. Working class doesn't wear shorts and a hoodie to work either.

LL_is_a_Cool_J t1_ite597v wrote

Like all his factory visits, acting like he's "one of us".

He's a freaking slob and I'll give him props for conning the idiots into thinking he's some sort of working class stiff.

Many of you seem to be commenting on the fit of the suit but seem to not know about that huge goiter on his neck.
Ever really wonder why he has a hoodie on all the time?
He has a freaking twin like Peter Griffin living in his neck.

Look at the right side of his neck in this pic, you can see the collar is snug and pulled up high. He's covering his vestigial twin.

I mean Braddock has lost 45% of its population since he became mayor, their income has stagnated, but he sure is cool right!

He sounds like a decent community leader who has no business in the Senate. He couldn’t do much to fix Braddock in 15 years, why would his track record suggest he’d be a good Senator? Not to mention his health issues. I’m not a democrat but even looking past where I differ from him on views, his history doesn’t shout that he’d be a good fit in the highest institution of the legislative branch.

6

ZealousParsnip t1_itdq5s7 wrote

Like I said he is actually a pretty decent community leader but we kinda need people like that to continue their work in that area over a long period of time. Shouldn’t go to the senate, but can make big everyday changes in his local community. As we all can.
