oh we’re out here 💃🏽
Tierra colombiana in north Philly is where it’s at. They have a night club attached. https://tierracolombianarestaurant.com/tierra-nightclub/
Same owners as Mixto also
I think you’re referring to Cuba Libre at 2nd and Market
This is where I used to go regularly - a decade ago. LOL.
I’ll have to check out cuba libre, but doesn’t it only play like salsa/batchata type shit?
Right around the corner is Lucha Cartel. Might be more your speed
Makumba, A Langosta but it’s mixed in with the regular Tropical music
A lot of places don’t like to play that music because of the crowd it attracts
that’s upsetting… but thanks for the recommendation
I know at one point there was a rumor that Woody's was bringing Latin night back...
W
that would be cool

RIP Tony’s bar
Latin vibes Philly seems to be hosting a few parties at vesper and moshulu…also saw la jungla del perreo at Winston
On Sundays at River deck (starting at the end of april) they play reggae, reggaeton, pretty much all Afro Latina Caribbean hip hop mix
awesome thanks for the info!
Lucha cartel and Cuba libre on Friday and Saturday nights. Both right next to each other
Lucha Cartel. All types of Latin music, some reggaeton but also bachata and stuff.
is there a dance floor there?
Oh yes. It’s basically a dance club after certain hours on the weekends. They serve dinner then clear all the tables out of the way and it gets nice and sloppy in there. Honestly, I’m in my 30s now so it is a little too packed for me but it’s still fun to go every once in a while.
sounds lit, gotta check it out
While we are on that, moved here from Tucson last summer and desperately need good authentic Sonoran or any Mexican food…recs?
There's a ton of Mexican in South Philadelphia, but it's not Sonoran. The vast majority is Puebla cuisine, since the vast majority of Mexicans here are from there. It's great!

I'm curious why only Latinos are allowed to answer. I have some info but I'm Asian. Oh well...
You're an honorary Latino if you could answer this question
Why do you have an issue with people seeking what appears to be cultural info from their own community? You sound really insecure.
🤣😂🤣😂
Talk about missing the point
What point did I miss here?
does my post say latinos can only answer?? no
"latinos in philadelphia- where's los perros at?"

I am very interested to see how large the crossover is between the reddit community and the Latino community in Philadelphia.
But, sorry, i can't help.
