My mom would say, drunks and children tell the truth. I guess that she would have known, being that she had lived in Holland during the German occupation.

I read a Netherlands resistance fighter's wife taught their toddler to keep saying "papa dood" for whenever the Germans came to the house to look for him.

I also talked to a fellow about his parents' experiences under the occupation. It was quite brutal, and they weren't even soldiers.

Your mom is an idiot. Plenty of kids lie at an early age. And plenty of drunks lie too, just because they are bad at lying doesn't mean they tell the truth.

Plenty of kids also don't lie, but say what they think you want to hear. Especially if you give them leading questions or information. Look at the Satanic panic.

The big problem is, they can't keep their mouth shut. They have a tendency of say things without thinking first. I guessing you never thought about about that

Cuz she was always drunk during the occupation? And always told the Nazis where the Jews were hiding when asked?

She grew up in a large rural family. I was understood never tell any secrets to the younger siblings, better yet don't say anything. The kids may have accidentally said something, that could very well get people shot. Best to not tell them anything. For that matter don't tell anyone.

Sounds suspect af man. What were they up to in that village? Pedophilia? Necrophilia? Vampire business? Selling Jews to the Nazis for a pack of cigs? I once worked for a Dutchman near Amstelveen when I was in high school. That man was shady and took advantage of me. Never trust a Dutchman.

The best way is to never tell anyone and if you know something and its not your business, forget about it. If you can. They couldn't trust anyone. They didn't know if their neighbours, friends or anyone else would, or someone else would tell the Germans . A secret is not a secret if more than one knows.

Agatha Christie said that murderers, being unable to brag about their cleverness will often insert themselves into the investigation so they can see the detectives marveling at their brilliance.

That makes me so jealous. Those police officers were courteous, polite, and didn't do anything to escalate the situation.

>"Can you get in the van, please? You're being arrested. We're trying not... We're trying not to manhandle you, but we need you to get in the van." - British Police Officer

Could you guys send over your police training methods and also the metric system. We could use both. Thanks!

He talked to the cops, he went to jail.

The 27 rules of police interaction are:

  1. Don't talk to the cops, that is what lawyers are for

2 through 27) See rule #1 again, maybe you missed it.
