Scum bags like this seek out these kind of jobs.

Land lords not a job though. Jobs create value.

Sexual predators find jobs where they'll have access to vulnerable people and kids. Like priests, teachers, and police officers.

I think his point was that landlords don't even get the privilege of being a "job" because they don't really contribute to anything or do anything like other jobs would

Well, I'd be interested in hearing from some landlords. The ones I know work their asses off, and consider what they do as their job.

Work their asses off charging people money for a place to live? Wow real hard work

I work in housing advocacy and I am so glad to see one of these PIECE OF SHIT LANDLORDS (yes yes, calm down, "not all landlords", I know) get their comeuppance.

I'm a landlord, technically. Rent out the two spare rooms in my house to some friends.
This guy is just a piece of shit in general. I bet he's one of those people who just enjoys making people miserable.

There's a difference between you and this asshole. You're probably not doing it as your sole source of income then sexually harassing your tenants.
BrillWolf t1_j1e03u8 wrote
ngl, I wish I could use that as my sole source of income, but I refuse to take advantage of my friends who're just trying to save enough to get a place of their own one day.

kinda low don't you think?
SnakeDoctur t1_j1dslhe wrote
I'd rather all the money just go to the victims
BrillWolf t1_j1dabgo wrote
Very low, but I do anticipate some civil lawsuits firm this as well.

To be fair, I had a lot of landlords in my day but none of them ever pressured me to fuck them in exchange for rent reduction. Mr. Varnado did refuse to give me my deposit back even though the place was clean, the bastard.

Technically exchanging sex for rent is prostitution.
StifleStrife t1_j1p9104 wrote
It's class rape and defining it otherwise is obscuring the reality of the situation so it takes guilt off the one in power.

So douchebag taking advantage of a situation to be scum of the Earth.

He's paying financially, but there's no amount of payment to give back these people's lost dignity.
