Moving in the summer to work in Hudson Yards. Prefer to live in NJ. What are the best places for a short commute? Ferry or PATH or something else? Based on the method of transportation, is is better to be in Jersey City or further north towards West New York? TIA!

Ferry from JC to 39th st via New York Waterway is the fastest, but it sure ain’t the cheapest

There are probably faster ways to go but just to add to your data while considering your move… I live in Hoboken and commute to Hudson yards via PATH to 33rd and walk about 15 minutes. It’s about 40mins one way.

Ferry is fastest and limits your choices. Any train that can get you into penn station, it’s a 15 min walk from there.
