So, I know that New Jersey turnpike, parkway, and the Atlantic City expressway are all going to get cashless totaling in the next few years starting with the Atlantic City expressway.
I understand how it will work with the parkway and Atlantic City expressway, but how in the hell are they going to remove the toll plazas for the turnpike interchanges and not cause utter mayhem from people speeding at full highway speed and needing to cut across 10 lanes, I'm specifically thinking about the ones where it has separate car only and car, bus, truck. Even more so the Tpke-Pkwy interchange.
Are they gonna just leave-in toll plazas to slow people down enough to get across? Are they going to have to build basketweave flyovers or rebuild interchanges? Remove the plazas and paint regular lanes and tell drivers "good luck"?
