Does anyone know a grocery store in the area that doesn’t have crazy expensive eggs? I live in Hamden and pretty much all the stores I go to here are charging insane prices for even the factory eggs. The only store I’ve found that still charges regular prices has been Whole Foods but that’s a bit of a drive.

I believe in the Church of COSTCO (and we faithfully tithe at least 10 % of our income annually).

Target’s prices have gone back down. Aldi might be back to ~$2 but I haven’t been recently

You can get a medium dozen from Elm City Market for 2.49. Of course they have all of the expensive organic brands too--but also 2.49.

interesting,I wouldn’t have expected them to have reasonably priced eggs!

yep, they're like that with a bunch of things. I still get vaguely homicidal whenever I go in there over their prices—but a good number of staples (tho not all) are reasonably priced...

I think I saw Derby Aldi’s $1.95 yesterday so would think most would be in that range.

Aldi in Hamden was $2.44 a few days ago.

Costco in Waterbury didnt have the 2 dozen eggs packs yesterday - only the expensive brown organic ones or the 7.5 dozen packs. They were cheap per egg, but I didn't need 90 eggs. ;)

Surprisingly, whole foods have free range eggs 🥚 $3.79 a dozen. Limit 2 per customer.
