I will be taking my children to an evening activity in Keene on Friday nights from 6-8 pm and I am looking for a place to hang out and read a book while I wait for them. It will be too cold in my car. I’m thinking of a coffee shop or book store, kind of like how Barnes & Noble has a spot for that sort of thing. Google isn’t turning out to be much help. For those familiar with the area, what would you recommend?

Toadstool Bookshop is probably your best bet. They have a cafe that I believe is open until 7 on Fridays and the store itself is open until 8

Mason Library at Keene State you can eat and drink anything in there and they have a wide selection of books nobody uses because college kids don’t touch books these days. Free wifi too
