For beer, some breweries do - one that comes to mind is Able Ebenezer in Merrimack, for instance.

Able shutdown delivery in August, "due to a change in the regulatory environment" according to their website bringthebeers.com.

Since it is illegal based on the comments here, I don’t want to name the place but I know of a convenience store that will deliver anything they sell, including beer.

Try the app Gopuff. They don’t have great coverage but they have the basic stuff for delivery.

Thanks, but I just went to their site and it looks like they're not in my area (nashua).

No. Your apps may say it, as a gimmick to get you to sign up, but alcohol delivery is illegal in NH.

Not sure about grocery stores or if they still do it but papa jays in Dover used to deliver beer.

I may be misremembering though.

DoorDash

That's my fallback if I can't find normal delivery.

Fuzzy-Scar3055 t1_iz82f21 wrote

What do you mean by “normal delivery”?

1

rkarl7777 OP t1_iz82w42 wrote

That I can order it from a grocery store along with bread, milk, and eggs.

Fuzzy-Scar3055 t1_iz9sd2y wrote

You can do DoorDash at Walmart. Not sure if they sell alcohol but why wouldn’t they?

I know some breweries such as Trillium deliver to NH, so I don’t think it’s illegal at the state level, probably just the services you’ve searched choose not to

1

ReauxChambeaux t1_iz7ly1f wrote

If so I’ve never found it…and I’ve looked a lot. I think it’s legal because, you know, live free or die

Thanks, but I went to their site and while they have a "beer" item in their menu, if you click on it, all they show are weird seltzer-based products. They don't appear to have any actual beer.

By the way, it looks like they will be happy to send me a bottle of whiskey, just not beer. Very strange.

AMightyOak43 t1_izb98vw wrote

sorry to give you bad info. Yes, that is odd. six years ago I was homebound with a broken foot and couldn't find anyone to deliver booze or cigarettes.

1

rkarl7777 OP t1_izba8oe wrote

Actually, it looks like Drizly will deliver wine and liquor, Just not beer. Isn't that weird?

GreatGrandaddyPurp t1_izduztc wrote

I bet they just list things for sale at the NH liquor store, hence no beer

rkarl7777 OP t1_izfgwoj wrote

Oh, that's a good theory. I never thought of that.

Google says Instacart and Drizly deliver beer

I just tried searching for "beer" on Instacart/Shaws. It said, "Sorry, alcohol products aren't available."

penster1 t1_iz68lmu wrote

Funny cuz I searched Drizly first and instacart was there and said beer delivery in under an hour. Liars!

rkarl7777 OP t1_iz6dcyl wrote

OP here. Does anyone know any state officials? Could you ask them if beer delivery is legal in NH? And, if so, why no one does it?

BelichicksBurner t1_iz7pvic wrote

It isn't, and though I'm far from conservative the argument against it being legal is pretty sensible to be honest. With delivery all you need is credit card info. Suddenly, your 16-year-olds party just got a lot crazier.

rkarl7777 OP t1_iz82dzf wrote

Just have an adult provide ID when it's delivered.
