Not sure why you're being downvoted. I go to Granger & Co semi regularly for breakfast and they call them Ricotta hotcakes I think, not flapjack
Edit: Apparently some regions of the US call them flapjacks

I love the US tradition of incorrectly renaming everything!
These are just pancakes right? With ricotta cheese.. nice and fluffy I bet
Flapjacks are oat bars made with butter and syrup

Unfortunately no. This is a restaurant dish. Granger & co is the name of the restaurant

That's called a latke.
SweetPickleRelish OP t1_jaceuc0 wrote
Only if a latke has ricotta and 0 potatoes
Supertho t1_jacfliw wrote
Potato latkes are a modern invention. The original latke is made from, wait for, ricotta.
Shibbystix t1_jadq8qc wrote
Potato latkes were a modern invention 220 years ago you nitwit. it really wouldn't have been so hard to find a way to share the tidbit you knew without sounding like an absolute ass.
"Hey! That looks delicious! Did you know that this is kinda like what original latkes were like!"
See? I did it right there!

So I know sweet shag all about food, so can I ask why is this a flapjack when it looks like a pancake? I thought flapjacks were baked, oaty bars.
