Hi everyone - happy new year! I've lived in Boston for a little over a year and am still searching for the ultimate fitness class or workout. I would love to get this community's input on the hardest workout experiences and classes in the Boston area.

I've tried Barry's, CorePower Yoga (sculpt), Solidcore, Invictus, and Harvard Stadium. All are good, but I haven't found anything that's quite on the level of Tone House in NY or Cut Seven in DC, which provide super intense HIIT workouts. (Running the Harvard Stadium may be the closest...)

Would love any input from this community on what you all think is the most intense workout in Boston. Thanks!

My friend was a high school state champ and penn state wrestler. He went to one spin class with his gf and didn’t know you could adjust the resistance, so he just did the whole hour on max resistance without realizing. He gave himself rhabdo and had to spend several days in the hospital. The moral is, any workout can be as hard as you want it to be.

Don’t need to feel like you just broke your legs for a workout to be successful. You can do Tabata style training on a treadmill for incline sprints, stationary bike(on- high resistance, off- easy resistance, body weight exercises. 20 seconds on - hard as you can , 10 seconds off/rest Repeat 8-10 times.

You can do this before and after a workout before you cool down.

A lot of gyms have space for people to do HIIT. You can grab all the equipment you need, time and do it yourself. There are many templates you can follow if you don’t know how to design a workout.

Don’t need a class to do Don Wildmans circuit. Just a gym that’s not slammed.
