Enchantment Backpacking

Idk how else to go about this… Hey I wasn’t able to obtain a permit for overnight Backpacking in Enchantment. If anyone is ok with a plus one joining in any future hikes please feel free to reach out. Willing to pay $$

If you have flexibility, try showing up at the ranger station in the morning on day you could make a hike work. They usually have extra permits for the day of.

That doesn't mean the lottery is over, just harder to obtain. This sucks for locals.

Through the walk-up lottery held Monday-Saturday at the Wenatchee River Ranger Station office in Leavenworth. The walk-up lottery at the Leavenworth Ranger Station is suspended for the 2023 season until further notice. Walk-up quota will be released back into the recreation.gov reservation system on Sundays, one week at a time. Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this crisis. We will continue to reevaluate and will resume the walk-up lottery when it is safe to do so.

I thought we had to wait until the 17th of March to see if we got a permit or not ?

Yes. Today was the day that the lottery is drawn but we won’t see results until 3/17.
