How does this person have a doctorate?

Probably she bought it online.

Have you met people with higher degrees? They're more a measure of determination and persistence than raw intelligence, and might legitimately have an inverse relationship with broad, worldly knowledge.
I am sure her doctorate in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leading didn't include intensive grammar studies.
To be clear, I am not saying that anything excuses anyone for poor grammar...just that it's largely unrelated to earning a higher degree.

The scary thing is that teachers’ jobs depend on her evaluation.

I don't think that's usually something an Assistant Principal does, is it?

Yes it is; would be borderline impossible for only the head principal to handle all evaluations for a school.

She apparently has a doctorate in education, is the assistant principal of an educational institution, and yet somehow never learned that you don't put a comma there...or that the comma after "Coyote" should go within the quotation marks...or that "timeframe" is one word.
I know pedantry over grammar is somewhat frowned upon these days, but come on, lady. You're responsible for educating people. Can you at least run your emails through Grammarly before you send them? If not for correctness' sake, then at least so you don't look more ignorant than you already do for not being aware that coyotes are a nefarious cartel?

I saw this on Facebook (I admin a hobby group and we haven't found a better platform) and people were having a field day with this story. The thing is... I know people are focusing on the principal but holy shit I hope the kid is okay. The fact that his life is potentially in danger over $2000 is beyond ridiculous.

She is basically aiding in a criminal act , how can a person this educated be this asinine. Reminds me of that judge in MA that got in the way of ICE and a illegal immigrant that had drug trafficking charges.
HighPlainsDrifting t1_j6io6xw wrote
Yeahh. Pretty sure that's illegal.

There’s no possible way anybody’s this stupid.
