You could try pinoy lane they are a Filipino food mart but they cook traditional Filipino food in the back of the store. The menu rotates so there is alway something different. I've seen fishhead soup and barbecued cow heart there.
>barbecued cow heart
Haha, triggered 😆 .. I can still vividly recall my horror as a young child when my mother put on the dining table an oxblood-colored Bootonware platter bearing a giant unadorned cow's tongue .. I could easily make out the individual taste buds :: shudder ::
I love Jahunger in Providence. Uighur food - too spicy for my husband but so tasty!
Hartley's Pork Pies on Smithfield ave

Having lived in Queens for over a decade I can say that Chengdu Taste is about as authentic as it gets. They don’t dumb it down for white people. It’s my favorite restaurant in PVD. (Ok, actually I think it’s in Pawtucket, but just over the line.)
Moved to Pvd a few years back
Jayd bun in Wakefield or willys place

Sorry, hoping for something with unusual or traditional menu items like Sura, Chengdu, Los Andes, Jayd Bun. Pizza is delicious though I will take your best pie spot

Sly Fox Den Too is a traditional Wampanoag restaurant in Charlestown. Service is slower than you will be used to, but that’s because it’s a small kitchen and everything is cooked to order. Really great food and worth the visit.
