As a Philadelphian, and a lifetime, Eagles fan, this breaks my heart. I literally was just in Pittsburgh this morning, and when I was a young child, the Steelers were my team. Just a few days before the anniversary of the immaculate reception. RIP Mr. Harris.

They moved it’s location today to prepare for the onslaught of memorials and tributes.

Franco Harris and I were at Penn State and both of us shared a dorm, Hamilton Hall. Many athletes lived at Hamilton Hall because it was close to Rec Hall. Of all the athletes I encountered my freshman year, Franco Harris was by far the nicest. He was soft spoken and would talk to anyone, even me, a long haired stoner. Just a genuinely nice guy.

So sad to hear. As a native Philadelphian, Eagles were always my birth-rite. I allowed myself the "cheat" of rooting for the Steelers because they were in the other conference, yet still a Pennsy team. Always dreamed of an Eagles-Steelers Super Bowl. Rest in peace, sir!
