Wait, so that little girl in the ad is the real Barbara Millicent Martin...? Or not, I might be confused by the context of the title. Because iirc, the creator of Barbie created jt for his daughter, who was also named Barbie.... right? (Fair warning, my Barbie knowledge has dwindled as I've grown up.)

The creator of Barbie was Ruth Handler, wife of the co-founder of Mattel Toys, and she did indeed name the doll after her daughter Barbara.

Yes! So I did remember right! Glad my memory of useless Barbie knowledge hasn't faded as far as I thought xD

At least Barbie has a full name, so she hopefully had a driver's license and was not driving that Corvette illegally! :-0

Haha, I actually do remember a tiny driver's license that came with Barbie and her pink convertible Corvette. I think it was pink and blue, and it had Barbie's picture on it.

Huh?

“Sanrio depicts Hello Kitty as an anthropomorphized white cat with a red bow and no visible mouth. According to her backstory, she lives in a London suburb with her family, and is close to her twin sister Mimmy, who is depicted with a yellow bow.”

You are correct! I just looked again. The article I found said Martin. It won’t let you fix headlines, sadly, but thanks for pointing out.
