That doesn't surprise me that most of the people aren't from Newark. They way they talk about current residents of this city...

I currently live in Middlesex county but I’ll always rep the hometown no matter what. What do they say? The amount of times I’ve had to tell people that Newark isn’t a warzone is astonishing. The city has changed for better or worse depends on who you ask, so opinions are divided but it’s still a great city would still like to see more representation next time.

Didn't grow up here but have lived here for over a decade. I was at the last one and it was awesome but couldn't make this one. Hoping there is another sometime this year.

I'm 8 days late to answering this, but I was there and enjoyed myself. Everyone was very nice, but it was definitely a different vibe than the first one in 2019, which had better attendance, lasted for hours, and featured more lively discussion about the reason we were there...Newark. Also, I expected everyone would ID themselves like last time, which was NOT the case. If it were up to me, you'd have to wear a nametag with your real name and Reddit handle. 😊 The hope is to have more frequent meetups, so I hope more of y'all come out next time!

Thought there would be more people there, the turnout was about 8 or so when I arrived? Not sure if anyone was actually from Newark either? Not to say it shouldn't be all inclusive but was surprised at how no one mentioned they were from the city? Atmosphere was cool, but no one really took advantage of all the other games available? Hopefully next time more people show up and we can all join in to more activities or have discussion about the city or swap stories about growing up in the city. Just my opinion.
