If it sells out, then technically they charged the right amount or possibly too little.

Wow, I'm not alone in thinking that.

(My pet theory is the perfect ticket price leaves one seat unsold.)

This is the right answer. It sucks that some artists are worth way more than most of their fans can afford, but that's the way it is sometimes. They can try some things to give the "poorer" fans a chance but the free market always finds a way, and the middlemen always get their cut.

Are those six bands popular with aging Baby Boomers? That could explain the price gouge.

Just curious what two of the six bands are not iconic, according to your post?

Meant to put 6

Wasn't trying to be an ass. I was just curious. 😂 I wouldn't say Tool is iconic.

Well, Metallica won't just play at any festival.

Is the concert likely to sell out?

$100+ fees per band is less than I'd spend to see each one of these artists individually. I went to Desert Trip. GA is fine, they had massive jumbotrons and I didn't miss a second of the shows.

pay $600 + tax to see these shows on jumbotrons, that sounds like bullshit
