Been doing some digging and not sure that there’s anything else that sounds the way his stuff does. Towering crescendos, soaring synths, just galaxy sized everything peppered with quiet reflective moments occasionally backed by a narration that gives some backstory.

His tracks Intro, Wait, Outro, Lower Your Eyelids to Die With The Sun, Us and The Rest, Moonchild are among my favorites .

Just larger than life tracks dripping with gorgeous excess that slowly build into these overwhelming wall-of-sound crashing crescendos.

Is there anything else out there like this?

Maybe not all in the same package. I think of groups like Beach House, Sigur Ros, or Odesza even. A wide sense of atmosphere and layers. Yet M83 has a vibe they capture quite well, it's kinda their lane.

Sounds like Post Rock and Post Metal. Check out bands in those two subgenres.

Bands like Isis, Neurosis, Pelican, Cult of Luna, Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Mogwai, Slint. Those could be a good starting point for such expansive subgenres, that will provide plenty of what you're lookin for. Keep an open mind, have fun exploring.

+100 for Beach House

Under a “remote” similarity standard, would also suggest checking out: Boards of Canada, Radiohead (esp. In Rainbows), and Stereolab.
