In case yall don't know, zig ziglar is an author of sales instruction books. So the context is that you can be rich if you are good at sales, and one way to be good at sales is to frame conversations with prospects around solving their business or personal needs.

Lots of comments are missing the point.
"Helping" doesn't mean giving away time and things for free to others. It means coming up with an idea, product, etc that lots of people want. Or starting a business with lots of customers, etc.

This is about creating something. Think Shark Tank. Create a solution for a problem people have and boom, cash in!

So like “You can have anything in life you want if you sell a lot of stuff to people”?
Yeah, that’s capitalism.

It’s less motivation and more resonance. Because people will take advantage of your kindness, the trick is to live and let live, accept they exist and move on.
Time is a 4D construct that stitches together 3D moments, if you can’t get over the moments where what you don’t like exists, you’ll never find yourself in moments where what you desire exists.

We're being told what we want, what we really really want by zig ziglar?

Yeah, nah this aint how it works. Use this energy you put in others to help yourself , instead of (maybe) a 30% return youll get a 100% one.
Just dont be a dick doing so, and youll get that 30% anyway

In my experience the following is the interpretation and corollary:
- Mr.Ziglar was right: you can get what you want if you give what people what they want. Pay off 1:1 .
- A corollary based on law of karma : You can get 10X times you want if you give what people what they want, WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN!
