I agree with you here. The article isn’t clear on what it means by that but it would be crazy if they built this as a single phase AC electrical system. If that were true they should be more clear about it and explain why/how.
Also look at the sets of three power lines coming away from it in the first picture. And transmission lines in the background.

I think phase here means built in one investment decision. So they committed to 350MW in one go as opposed to 100MW, then 200MW then 200 MW.
Would definitely be 3 phase power, since basically all AC power distribution is 3 phase.

It doesnt make any sense. Probably it means the battery is one DC battery unit which converts to 3 phase AC, instead of 3 battery units, one for each phase. Idk.

>Most residential homes operate on single-phase. The solar industry has made it very easy to install solar and battery backup for these single-phase services. What if you have a three-phase service? Is it possible to have single-phase backup paired with three-phase solar?

A seeking alpha article on the site says "largest (...) to reach operation in a single phase" so it seems it just means constructed all at once as opposed to dividing up the project into multiple stages / "construction phases", which is common for large energy infrastructure projects since you can usually build it partially and start operating while you finish the rest.

definitely does.

They are the same thing. There are AC/DC converters.

How does it, there is no way you would connect this sort of power on a single phase, that part of the grid would be completely unbalanced. I don’t think you know why you are talking about and just linking stuff with the same buzz words
