That’s not how phones work.

It's been said, but that's not how it works.

Only iPhones lol

Is this a serious post?
Yes
That's not how phone service works, it wouldn't just affect iPhones lol. More likely something blocking service in your area.
But to answer your question, no, I haven't been having any issues lately, I'm in southwest CT.
T-Mobile in NH county... Working fine.
Edit: Android user...
I also have Xfinity and I have an Android. My service was always great, but for the last month it's been a mess. If I'm not on WiFi, I'm having a lot of trouble. I called Xfinity and the things they did to help were mostly useless. I am getting this 🚫 a lot , it's so frustrating.
Xfinity mobile, Tolland County, no problems. I am also an iPhone user. Have only had issues just over the MA line last weekend.
The Cell Phone Towers were supposed to be replaced by State of The Art FlyingtowerBaloons. I hope noting happened to this new system

You don't say where you are or who your provider is, (which would be helpful, but here we are), but it is possible that a cell phone tower in your area went offline or is having issues. No one can possibly know the answer to your question without those two pieces of information.
