What are you talking about?! Newspapers have been using shock or misleading headlines since their inception in order to manipulate/mislead. Additionally, there has been no dearth of material explaining and detailing reasons that rent control would be a bad thing. I would expect that the timing of this article with the timing of Wu publicly pushing back against critics is not coincidental.

>The opinion section of newspapers used to be used to publish a variety of opinions that intelligent readers could compare with their own. I hope you can imagine going backwards in time to a different era and respond as if you lived in that era instead of writing "Nice job Globe. Nothing like telling your readership to go f@#k itself."

So you believe that I am somehow incapable of summarizing not only the position of the author but the position of the Globe who has been a bit more vocal when it comes to positions against rent control. I am somehow devoid of critical thought in your eyes due to my word choice. You hang on to the prejudice. It should serve you well I am sure, not that you would ever know one way or another.

This is the same Healey that refused to prosecute state troopers for massive overtime abuses, aka fraud, right?! Same person?

But she also cheered the burning of cities during the summer riots a few years ago, so I mean, as long as your shit isn't burning down I'm sure you're happy.

I'll hold my breath as I expect her to do jack and shit. She's going to be running for President soon enough and she's going to want support from the Fraternal Brotherhood of Cops or whatever the fuck they call themselves. So yeah...she's not doing shit.

All of those places are hell on earth save for Six Flags, and it's close depending on time of year, and we already have one. I don't see the attraction for any of those places.

Also, I'm whole heartedly against bulldozing anymore forests in this state for any reason whatsoever. The last sighting of a Canadian Lynx in MA was in Bellingham a little more than 20 years ago. The forest it lived in was bulldozed to put in a Home Depot, Toys R Us, Unos, and a small apartment complex. ...yeah, that was worth it.

I don't like it when people put words in my mouth. How you even extrapolated that I'll never know, it seems like your primary focus was to assign/find a victim as quickly as possible. Weird.

Let me help you. No the suburban residents aren't the victims. The victims are those bigots in Boston who believe that their actions and words, based off of bad information, is correct simply because they all think it. They're all equally ignorant, they're all equally trapped.

But hey, jumping to conclusions works too. Oh wait, we're right back where we started.

If I need it there when it says it's going to be there, and 20/30/40/50/60 minutes goes by until it shows up...you want to convince me that THAT is reliable transportation?

If a Train is 25 minutes late for an 8PM platform time, that Train didn't show up AT 8, it's late as hell. It DID NOT SHOW WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO. At that point I'm looking at alternate modes of transportation because I'm trying not to lose my job.

You can shove that "...spreading lies" s@#t right up your a##. People have LOST THEIR JOBS because they depended on the T to be remotely functional and remotely punctual and those people were WRONG to assume so.
