My bad, lol, It was on my feed and didn't even notice this was console. Oopsi.

For console, Xbox for me, because the Gamepass is an excellent service and the games can extend to your pc... and you can also stream games on anything... even an android tablet if you have one.

Games + Great service... Xbox.
If you don't care too much, get the xbox series S... but if you want to maximize graphics go for Series X. ;)

Cheers

Well hope this doesnt break any rules, but just like on PC, you can purchase your Games from discount sites and get better deals on games you want.

I use kinguin personally and greenman gaming.

BUT... if you have have xbox Gamepass... you will have access to more games then you need.
PLUS
If you do join xbox gamepass... you get awesome discounts on games just from being a member! :)

I thought running a ps4 game on a ps5 made them run better.
I know it did this with God of war, Elden Ring, GTA collection.... etc

That's why a good handfull of people buy the ps4 versions and run them on the ps5... cause sometimes the ps5 version is simply is too beefy for the ps5 itself

I would still rather buy one from facebook market place.
I've seen many even go for 100-150$, same for xbox one X....

People are offloading either because they have moved to PC or to the next gen.
I know it's nice to have buyers protection, but heck, you could easily buy 2 PS4's for the price of a refurbished one. (and these wouldnt even be refurbished)

Um, you're allowed to change the email associated with the account.
All you need is a new microsoft account for your windows and you can link them.

You can easily go on the website and speak to a rep and have it done in a few minutes.
I got hacked once, so I simply closed down my existing hotmail and microsoft account, after I made a new one and migrated the account over with the help of a rep.

It shouldnt even be a hassle.

I still play the crap out of my xbox One... and recently joined PC race... but still use my Xbox Gamepass ultimate. I get tons of joy from my Old VCR when friends come over and we play on my big 55' 4k TV.

I stream some "current gen" titles on the old boy sometimes but has still given me years of pleasure.

Don't have current Gen though

Well, for any type of nostlagia, best thing I can reccomend is patiently wait for MISTER FPGA modules, to have all the consoles you used to play... and get a Everdrive for your respective Catridge Slot based systems.

You get clear picture and sound, can use the original controllers, it's pretty dope.

As for your CD based systems, I would reccomend getting one of those Disc Tray emulation contraptions with the SD card. Then you can at the very least keep your console and it's original controllers.

Also, If you want the best experience and best way to play all your consoles...
I highly suggest you buy this projector... I reccomend it to all my friends.
I bought mine for 200$ from Facebook Market place!
https://www.alphr.com/benq/benq-mw851ust/31879/benq-mw851ust-review/

It has all the hooks you will ever need to play all of your retro consoles.
Because it's DLP it handles native analog signals perfectly.. with no input lag.

The lamp lasts forever, especially if only used for gaming. I play my N64 on this bad boy all the time... with the simple RCA cables (Composite) and the image looks Beautifull, because the projector was made this in mind.... it's not a secondary post processing thing, it was built for this.
I have a HDMI HUB for my newer consoles and PC that is hooked up to it (Note: It's 120hz refresh!!!!) and I have a HUB for all my Composite consoles and it even has VGA! Don't ever listen to VGA Haters... trust me when i say it's number one for a projector. I have my Xbox 360 hooked up via the VGA (real original cable... not some adapter) and I run all my consoles in 720p Mode.

A lot of people don't know that the PS3 and Xbox360 generation of consoles actually run better in 720P Mode.

God I love talking about this stuff.... Don't need line doubler... you just need a great DLP projector made from the era of your gaming. Don't buy a 4K or cheap chinese projector either. Plus... the last thing that is great.... is this project is Ultra short throw, so it can be put up against the wall and is not loud (as long as you remember to clean out your filter every couple of months.... especially if you have pets).

It's hard to say these days.
I buy a lot of games from donation places and I am quite grateful for it.

But I also, give a lot consoles away as well. I buy them... clean them up, sometimes hack them/or not... and i build small collections and give them to parents who want their kids to have some games.

On facebook i'm part of a bunch of groups where people who can't afford things for kids for any reason, will sometimes ask for video games, so depending on what I have... I give it to them.

I've given away sega genesis, sega game gear, sega32x, sega cd (no copy protection :) ), Wii's, wii-u's, Xbox's, Xbox360's (kids love the kinect), I've given some computers away too (can easily build little gaming machines these days with used computers).

I'm currently still holding onto quite a lot, but for the moment, I'm planning on making a youtube channel where I play every game I own.... and then after that... I don't know... might donate back to some salvation army and let some other person enjoy the games, or simple make more little give away packs.

I love putting smiles on little kid's faces or parent's who are broke and happy their kids will have some for birthdays or christmas.

I don't care about their market value, games are meant to have fun with, so there is no loss to me. Besides, in the end, it doesn't matter what a game is worth, if no one will buy it. I like the idea of collecting for fun, but I don't like the idea of holding on to them... for no reason, other then..."their value might go up one day".

I've sold a few games here and there when I have too many doubles or tripples from buying game lots... But I sell them like 5$. lol
Looking at ebay prices, some of the games i've sold were worth apparently 100-200-300$ sometimes, which is rediculous... so I simply dont join in on the crazy train of market prices...

But don't recycle anything, for the love of god.

Do you want to changer your internal storage?
What is your Xbox Model?
• Original Xbox?
• Xbox 360?
• Xbox One?
• Xbox One X?
• Xbox One Series S?
• Xbox One Series X?
If its one of the newer models... You want something with a decent D cache... of possibly fine NVME to adapter... depending on which ever model you are using.

Xbox One X was sata 3... if I recall.

Thanks a lot.
We already had her funeral in october and it was hard.
I'm over what happened, but not over how much I miss my sister. We had the rockiest relationship... but the Pandemic brought us closer together and we finally became a family. SO it's really hard to accept, that only after 3 years of being real friends and family.... she had leave us in such a way... so in the end, I might not ever trully get over it.

I'm in my Male in my 40's, so she really was baby sister! :(

I will try as much as I can to save the dreamcast... maybe the best thing will be to replace parts from scrapped dreamcasts on Ebay... and maybe even replace the Disc reader with one of those SD card things... maybe.

But i'll start with the basics.

I haven't turned it on yet, because i'm afraid the internals might be oily as well.
Lord only knows if cat pee is conductive, so I would have to take it apart first.

So i guess I will take it apart, wash it, and then store individual parts in bags with fabric softner sheets best i can.

But I will have to take even the lazer and disc reader apart as well....Every inch stinks.
I don't want to have to get a new dream cast, this is an original that reads the blank cd's.

I will give it try this weekend, I will leave an update. thanks.
